Loretto Housing, part of the Wheatley Group, is set to build the 12 new houses and nine flats on the site of what was once Cobblebrae Farm, between Cobblebrae Crescent and Carronside Street.
It is understood that work will start this month and the contractor is Sim Building Group.
The Wheatley Group says the new development will be a mix of two and three-bedroom houses and two-bedroom flats.
This includes a mixture of two-storey and three-storey buildings with 46 parking spaces and landscaping.
