New homes planned next to Aldi in Polmont

BRAE Property Group, which submitted the application on behalf of Abhainn Developments, says the new houses at Appin Grove will be high quality.

The site, they say, is scrub land and woodland and won't be seen easily from nearby houses.

The area is only accessible via the private road and car park from the supermarket and is within walking distance of main transport facilities including train, with local shopping and amenities nearby.

The planning application says the development would mean the loss of some mature trees but insists that this will be kept to a minimum and as many as possible will be retained.

The plan for the new houses show a contemporary design with integral garages on the lower floors, while all of the houses will have a garden with some decking.
