The application is the latest effort by developers CWC Group to redevelop the site of the former Manuel brickworks.

Falkirk Council’s planning department has once again recommended that the plans are rejected, saying the proposed development does not include appropriate links to existing networks in surrounding areas, including access to schools.

The plans last came before Falkirk Council in December 2019 when they were rejected.

The plans came before a ‘virtual’ meeting of Falkirk Council’s Planning Committee yesterday (Wednesday) when councillors will be able to discuss the application.

It will not be open to the public but will be available to watch at some point after the meeting.
