Falkirk councillors want your views on how to clean up communities

The survey will help inform the council's new litter strategy, which is to be published in 2021 .

It will look at how the council can work together with communities to prevent and respond to the problems which are not only a cause of frustration but also expensive to deal with.

By taking part, Falkirk Council will be able to hear your views on topics such as how to prevent litter in the first place and what support is needed by communities, local businesses, landowners and other interested parties.

It is also looking for feedback on the best ways that people can work in partnership with the council to tackle the problem.

Councillor Paul Garner, spokesman for the environment said: “Litter, dog fouling and fly-tipping are a constant concern and problem we face throughout every area and it is time we all took a united stand against this unacceptable behaviour.

“Working with communities means we can deliver a more effective approach and this survey will help get a clear idea of what communities say is a priority for them and how best we can work together to deliver this.

“It’s really important that we get as much feedback from everyone we can so we can get an accurate reflection on what really matters.”
