Falkirk Council says parking enforcement will resume across the district from Monday, June 22 as more shops and businesses are starting to re-open.

It anticipates that traffic – and therefore parking – will increase substantially,  particularly because public transport may well be limited by social distancing measures.

Reintroducing traffic patrols will, they say, help ensure that parking is available to people visiting local businesses and shops and that there is access for deliveries – all of which is vital to begin the economic recovery from the coronavirus pandemic.

The team’s priority is to ensure that disabled parking is maintained for those who need it, and that indiscriminate parking does not impact on road safety or cause obstruction for public transport or emergency service vehicles.

Car users are urged to be considerate and park only where it is appropriate to do so.
