This will include the sale of buildings belonging to Common Good funds, including Falkirk Old Burgh Buildings in Newmarket Street, currently used by the council's registration service.

Once the new headquarters is ready - probably in 2023/24 - these will become surplus to requirements and will be sold, with the cash raised going to the former burgh's Common Good Fund.

The long-vacant Kilns House in Kilns Road, Falkirk - which sits on land beside the Municipal Buildings - will also be for sale, with receipts going to the fund.

Denny Town House - which is currently used as the main office for the Health and Social Care Partnership - would also be sold, with the money going to Denny's Common Good Fund.

If councillors agree, the for sale signs will go up for Sealock House in Grangemouth, where Children's Services are currently based, and Abbotsford House in Bainsford, Development Services are based.

Sealock House could be empty as soon as 2021, while Abbotsford House will be one of the last properties to be vacated.

The report suggests that office accommodation in Bainsford and Camelon would not be much in demand and it may be sold to housing developers, which would need planning approval.

The executive meets next Wednesday.
