Falkirk Council's licensing board heard that the application was just 'tidying up' to allow owner, Forbes Dewer, to develop his business into a more 'food-led offering'.

Gordon Emslie, representing the business, said: "This application was pre-Covid.

"Now, with Covid it's very strongly believed that a food offering is going to be essential in the future."

The business also added accommodation to its licence.

Mr Emslie told the board that the tenancy has only been offered on a one-year rolling lease and this was a way of adding to its commercial worth to try to secure a longer-term lease from Scottish Canals.

At the moment, the bedrooms are not in use while work is being done on the premises.

The board approved the updated licence.
