Correction: Former MP Michelle Thomson
In an article on September 1, 2020 on The Falkirk Herald website concerning SNP candidates standing for selection in the forthcoming Scottish parliamentary elections of 2021 we wrongly stated that Michelle Thomson was investigated by police over an alleged mortgage fraud but no charges were brought.
We accept that Michelle Thomson was never under investigation by Police Scotland in relation to potential mortgage fraud.
We apologise to her for our error.
Ms Thomson was previously the SNP MP for Edinburgh West.
