Seven performers from Falkirk Community Trust’s Youth Theatre will be part of a historic 2000-strong Riding procession down the Royal Mile in Edinburgh. The children are creating a banner for they day.

The parade is a modern version of the colourful Riding, which first took place in the 17th century, and will include Scotland’s Local Heroes, musicians and entertainers for Holyrood’s Big Day Out event.

“We are tremendously excited to join so many community groups from the length and breadth of Scotland, all working to make a positive difference. The Opening of Parliament will be a day to remember, and we are thrilled to be part of it.”
