The police search for missing man David Paterson is focusing on the area where he was last seen.

Officers returned to Bankside Industrial Estate in Bainsford this morning.

Mr Paterson (52) was last seen around there at 9.05 a.m. last Monday.

Since then, he has not made contact with family or friends.

Police are speaking to local residents and those working in the area as part of their large-scale investigation.

A psychiatric nurse, he is married to Dr Gayle Paterson, a GP at Tryst Medical Practice in Stenhousemuir.

The couple, who have been married for 26 years, live in Philip Street, Bainsford, close to where Mr Paterson was last spotted.

Inspector Chris Stewart said: “It is now one week since David was last seen and we still have not established his current whereabouts.

“We will be out and about in the area he was las seen to speak with anyone who may have been there last week and remembers seeing him.”

He urged anyone who may have information to call police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

The inspector added: “We continue to urge David to get in touch with a friend, loved one or with police to let us know you are alright.”
