Police probe into pupil with knife at school

Education officials and police officers are looking into an alleged incident of a youngster taking a knife into a Falkirk area secondary school.

The pupil is said to have taken the knife into the premises in his schoolbag on Monday and then showed it to classmates, who became concerned and told staff. The knife was supposedly confiscated shortly afterwards when staff searched the pupil’s bag.

The incident was confirmed by Falkirk Council yesterday (Wednesday) and was being investigated by the both the police and local authority as The Falkirk Herald went to press.
