Police name van driver killed in motorway crash

Another victim of Friday night's crash on the M9 has now been named.

Three people died after the crash on the M9 on Friday night

Mark Hansen (42), who is from Singapore but has been working in the UK. was driving the van involved in the accident near Linlithgow.

The collision took place at around 9pm involving Mr Hansen’s white Vauxhall and a silver Mercedes car.

It had earlier been confirmed that mother Saadia Ahmad (37) was pronounced dead at the scene, while her nine-year-old daughter Ayesha died in hospital on Saturday,

Three other members of the family - the father, also aged 37, and two young sons, aged ten and 14 - are still in hospital in a serious but stable condition.

Police Scotland have appealed for anyone who may have witnessed the crash to call 101.
