Police name man killed working on bridge

Police have the named the man killed in an accident while working on the Queensferry Crossing last week.

He was John Grant Cousin.

The 62-year old came from the Northumberland area of England.

He was killed in an incident while working on the new crossing on Thursday, April 28.

Mr Cousin was thought to have been hit by the moving boom on a Giraffe crane on the deck of the north tower.

Another man was injured in the incident.

Mr Cousin’s family thanked everyone for their thoughts and support.

Police Scotland and the Health and Safety Executive are continuing their inquiries into the circumstances that led to his death.
