There’s a large police presence in Dunipace this morning after a second fire in the space of a few days. A body has been found after a blaze at a home in Dunipace early this morning.

Fire crews were scrambled after a 999 caller reported smoke filling a house in Stirling Street at around 10:35pm on Wednesday.

And it would appear that it is the neighbouring property that has been ablaze this morning, with damage to the rear roof section clearly visible from the street.

Police have sealed off the area and there is a large number of vehicles and officers at the scene.

It is believed that the incident is being treated as suspicious and investigations are ongoing. The alarm was raised shortly before 7am when the fire was spotted at the Stirling Street property.

Police have been at the scene all day and the area surrounding the house has been cordoned off.
