POLICE CALL: Cracking result on bonfire night

Chief Inspector Mandy Paterson

Thanks to the Falkirk Community Trust and all those who contributed to the annual fireworks event last week at Callander Park.

The weather might have been against us but it didn’t dampen the spirits at an excellent display for the community, as always.

A thanks also for inviting me to attend the Festival of Remembrance on Saturday night. Always a humbling experience.

I’m not one to pick favourites but I have to say I was very impressed by the Grangemouth High School Singers – great to see such talent amongst our young people.

And finally … I reported on a spike in bogus workmen in the Grangemouth and Larbert/Denny sections a few weeks ago.

I am pleased to report that a man from the Perth area was charged with five of these incidents from October and November.

After appearing at Falkirk Sheriff Court on November 5, 2015, he was remanded in custody.
