Police and emergency services respond to sudden death at Falkirk Post Office

The postal sorting office in Falkirk was surrounded by emergency services personnel responding to reports of a death in the building.

The incident happened at 3pm on Friday at the Garrison Place premises.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Police were called to a report of the sudden death of a 52-year-old man. There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding the death and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”

Royal Mail stated an internal inquiry into the incident had now been launched.
