Disney’s ‘Wonderful World of Knowledge’ series continues with ‘Famous People’.

Volume 19 of the 24-part encyclopedia is available now and teaches children about great figures from the past and present.

The full colour, 58 page volume features famous people from the world of music, medicine, politics and science.

Children will be enthralled by the stories of great figures including Italian astronomer Galileo Galilei, pioneering aviator Amelia Earhart and the world’s first female president Corazon Aquino.

From the world of entertainment, there are sections on people including Beatle John Lennon, escapologist Harry Houdini and even comedy troupe Monty Python gets a mention.

The primary two class at Comely Park Primary School agreed the ‘Famous People’ volume was a good read when The Falkirk Herald dropped in on their music class.

The volume came in handy for them with sections on famous composers including Wolfgang Mozart and Ludwig van Beethoven.
