At a meeting of the committee yesterday (Wednesday) members agreed to go out to sites to see details of two planning applications from Stuart Crawford associated with the popular Kerse Lane business.

Both change of use applications are either retrospective or partially retrospective – meaning the work has been completed or is almost complete.

One deals with the former Beauty Salon at 21A Orchard Street, which is now a Hotel Annex, while the other is concerned with alterations, extensions and change of use of a hairdressers and offices to a hotel at 22 and 26 Princes Street and 2, 4 and 6 Kerse Lane.

Councillor John McLuckie, convener in the absence of Baillie Billy Buchanan, said: “We are going out to see this for ourselves so we can understand it better and make the right determination.”
