Falkirk Community Trust chairman Ian Scott and Falkirk Council Leader Councillor Craig Martin were among the local dignitaries at the ‘soft’ launch of the new tourist attraction.

An official opening is expected to be in December.

The visitor centre opened its doors for the first time yesterday with crowds flocking in to get a first glimpse of the new cafe restaurant and shop among its other facilities.

The Kelpies and Helix Park opened to the public in April 2014 and have been a popular destination for visitors from all over the country.
