Cussler came into June Rankine’s life two years ago when his first owner abandoned him as a puppy.
He’s now got all four feet under the table of June’s Maddiston home, sharing the premises with cats Tolkien and Dickens. June said: “He’s three quarters Chihuahua and one quarter Jack Russell. He’s got all the stamina of a Jack Russell and all the loving lapdog nature of a Chihuahua. Of course he think’s he’s a rottweiler, he’s got wee dog syndrome.” Cussler has his own chair placed at the window so he can have a nose at the outside world and watch out for his nemesis The Postman. We should have called him Dyson, because he eats everything off the floor of our house.” Cussler is not a slob, however, and enjoys a game of football when he’s not growling at June’s son when he comes to visit.
