Wetherspoons confirms opening date for Falkirk pub

Wetherspoons has announced the date when its pub in Falkirk will open their doors after lockdown.

The cut price chain has said the Carron Works will welcome customers back on April 26 - the date set by the Scottish Government for the hospitality sector to re-start.

It was among 60 premises across Scotland confirmed as re-opening.

Under the latest Scottish Government rules. pubs will serve food and non-alcoholic drinks inside, while serving alcohol without having to order a meal outside.

Outdoor services will be allowed to remain open until 10:00pm, while indoor hospitality can continue until 8:00pm.

Helen Dumbreck, Wetherspoon’s regional manager for Scotland, said: “We are looking forward to welcoming both customers and staff back to our pubs.”She added: “Our pubs play an important part in the social life of their respective towns and cities and it is great news that they will be able to reopen soon.”
