Wedding of the week: Falkirk couple Rebecca Gardiner and Dylan Bain

HOW THEY MET: They met at a friend’s birthday in Wetherspoons. Dylan’s best man, Craig bought Rebecca a drink, but she didn’t like it so gave it to Dylan to drink to try not offend Craig and they got talking.

THE PROPOSAL: Dylan proposed at Christmas in 2018. He wrapped the worst looking ball shaped present. Rebecca left it until the end and nearly binned it when clearing up. When she opened it she turned round to find Dylan on one knee. He had wanted to get engaged before Poppi was born, but she arrived two months early.

THE WEDDING: The couple were married at the Three Kings in Falkirk on January 25, 2020. They were joined by 100 guests during the day and another 50 at night.

THE WEDDING PARTY: Rebecca’s maid of honour was Nicole Grey, her bridesmaids were Kaitlyn Forrest and Ami Caldwell. Craig Ross Wilson was Dylan’s best man. Groom’s man was James McCartney and the ushers were Scott Leonard and Stewart Gibson. Daughter Poppi was flowergirl.

THE HONEYMOON: The couple went on a two week trip around America visiting New York, San Francisco, LA and Las Vegas.
