The booking system enables the venue to trace everyone who attends and a one-way system – mapped out with signage – also helped keep staff and customers as safe as possible.

A spokesperson for Falkirk Community Trust said: “As of today, all of our health and fitness clubs have reopened for individual gym sessions. The opening hours remain the same.

"The pools at the Mariner Centre, Bo’ness Recreation Centre and Grangemouth Sports Complex have also reopened for health and fitness members and for public swimming.

“We have an online booking system for health and fitness members, who can book individual gym, swim or outdoor fitness sessions. In adherence with the Scottish Government’s Track and Trace recommendations, non-members and family swim sessions require to be pre-booked and slots can be reserved via telephone by calling the chosen venue directly.

“We have floor and wall signage within the venues for customers, as well as pop-up banners with information on COVID-19 safety measures in place, including hand sanitising, social distancing and the wearing of face masks.
