A Scottish Water spokesperson said: “A burst on an 18-inch water pipe has led to some properties in Slamannan and Avonbridge experiencing a loss of normal water supply, low water pressure or discoloured water.
“We are carrying out a repair as quickly as possible and have brought in alternative water supplies by tanker to restore normal supplies to affected properties.

“We apologise for the inconvenience and thank affected customers for their patience and understanding. We fully appreciate the impact of the disruption particularly at this time, with Government and NHS advice regarding hygiene and hand washing during the COVID-19 response.”
