Watch: Burst pipe leaves hundreds of Braes residents without water

Residents in Braes villages were left without water supplies today due to a burst main which Scottish Water is now working to repair.

A Scottish Water spokesperson said: “A burst on an 18-inch water pipe has led to some properties in Slamannan and Avonbridge experiencing a loss of normal water supply, low water pressure or discoloured water.

“We are carrying out a repair as quickly as possible and have brought in alternative water supplies by tanker to restore normal supplies to affected properties.

“If customers are experiencing discoloured water they should run the cold water tap in their kitchen slowly until the water runs clear.
