Warning over cold callers in Falkirk and Maddiston

Residents in the Maddiston and Falkirk areas are being warned against cold calling builders who are currently offering households replacement monoblock driveways.

Falkirk Council’s Trading Standards team have been made aware of concerns that the methods used do not conform to good business practice or meet the relevant cold calling legislation.

It is believed three males are involved using a car to visit households.

Intelligence has suggested that these operators are connected to other companies trading elsewhere in the UK using shoddy business practices.
