Support floods in for family following tragic death of Stenhousemuir teenager
An online fund raising page has collected over £2000 in just a matter of hours for the family of a missing teenager who was found dead this week.
Jasmine Ferguson was reported missing from Stenhousemuir on Tuesday and her friends and family’s worst fears were confirmed by police on Thursday when the 16-year-old’s body was found in a wooded area near the village’s McLachlan Street just after 4pm.
Officers said formal identification had yet to take place but Jasmine’s family have been made aware.
A police spokesperson said: “The death is not believed to be suspicious and a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal in due course.”

In the aftermath of the shocking discovery, friends of Jessica and her family set up a GoFundMe page looking to offer “support and comfort” to Jasmine’s family.
Almost £2300 has already been raised for the family in just a few hours.
