After a couple of dicey years the rain and clouds knew better than to darken Grangemouth's door on Children's Day in 2016.

Not only did Queen Tegan Berry enjoy a warm and sunny coronation in Zetland Park last Saturday afternoon, but her retinue, local youngsters and their family and friends also had a great day out without having to bother if they brought their umbrellas.

Bowhouse Primary School pupil Tegan (10) was crowned by 1957 Queen Betty Aitken following a stately procession along Kingseat Avenue and Abbots Road featuring Beancross, Moray, Sacred Heart and Bowhouse primary schools with music from Bo’ness and Carriden Brass Band and Alloa Bowmar, Denny and Dunipace, Camelon and Tulliallan pipe bands.
