'Spiderman' steps up for Maggie's Forth Valley
Scott Linton, dressed as Spiderman, walked the 12 miles from his home in Tullibody to the cancer care centre in Larbert last Friday as he completed his 10,000 steps a day for 30 days challenge for the charity.
The former Grangemouth man was met with a warm reception at Maggie’s thanks to a live singer performing for the occasion courtesy of Dancing DJs.

The step challenge is just the latest fundraising effort Scott has set himself. The chairman of Beancross Community Hall tries to fundraise for a different charity each year and he’s already signed up to take part in the Stirling half marathon next year for Strathcarron Hospice.
Scott said: “It was absolutely fantastic on Friday. It was wet but it was definitely worth it.
“The level of support from people going by was fantastic and at the Bannockburn roundabout the police actually stopped the traffic so I could cross safely.

“The money raised will go to Maggie’s Centre in Forth Valley and will be used to help local people.
“I’d like to say a special thank you to Maggie’s for letting me do this fundraiser for them and to Susan Hislop McClung from Dancing DJs for providing the live singer.”
