Lewis Pentecost set himself the challenge in order to support a local cause during the coronavirus lockdown and has chosen to fundraise for Strathcarron Hospice, where his gran works in its shop.
After completing 655 laps of his home in Broom Crescent, Lionthorn, Falkirk, and almost 22 kilometres, the 19-year-old vowed the pain he felt afterwards was worthwhile.

Few challenges he has faced in his athletics career so far have resembled anything like the one he took on last week as he made his way in, out and round his home.
With his mum and brother on hand to film and keep count of the laps, Lewis set off determined to achieve his goal and help others.
The Falkirk Council apprentice electrician said: “A lot of fundraisers are cancelled and charities will be struggling so I thought I would help.

“Once I got into a rhythm it was okay but once I stopped it was so painful.
“I set a target of £350 and it’s nearly at £3500 with people still making donations.
“Thanks very much to anyone who donated, it means a lot. It’s really generous.”
