Sandra and Casey Toner will be cooking and dishing out 100 pizzas to the youngsters of the village on the corner of Laburnum Road and Maple Place between 5pm and 7.30pm tonight, just before this week’s neighbourhood applause for the NHS at 8pm.
Sandra said: “The kids were bored and needed a wee bit of socialising with their friends, but obviously not too close. We have this big pizza oven in our garden, so we thought we could make pizza for them all.”
Arlene Donnachie advertised the event on the Banknock Banter Facebook page and the response was immediate and bookings for a “pizza” the action began flooding in.

Sandra said: “We will have the pizza boxes on a big table and the children can come along at their allotted time slots to pick them up and take them away to enjoy.”
The family has also placed a bucket on the table so people can make donations to Forth Valley Royal Hospital intensive care unit .
“We have collected £45 already and we haven’t even started yet,” said Sandra, speaking just hours before tonight’s pizza extravaganza was due to begin.
