Police close off Falkirk road after man's body discovered

Emergency services, reportedly including specialist divers, responded to the discovery of a body this morning.

The area at the junction of Bankside, Main Street and Grahams Road near the Forth and Clyde Canal was quickly cordoned off by officers.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 11.15am on Wednesday, January 27, officers were called to the Main Street area of Falkirk, near the canal, after the body of a man was found. The death is being treated as unexplained pending further enquiries.”
