New 4G switch on may cause telly trouble in Larbert

Residents with Freeview on their televisions – also affectionately known as council telly – may experience some interference due to new 4G mobile services being switched on in the area.

According to the company at800 residents in the Larbert area may experience loss of sound, frozen images, a blank screen or even a ”No Signal” message due to the close proximity between 4G signals and the 800MHz aerial reception of Freeview.

Residents with cable or satellite TV – including Sky or Virgin customers – will not be affected.
