Motorists travelling northbound between Polmont and Bannockburn this morning are being advised to watch their speed following a large oil spillage on the M9.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman confirmed that Falkirk and Stirling councils had been informed and “numerous services” were working together to clear the spillage.

The stretch of road affected is between junctions four and nine as well as some roads leading off the M9.
