Macrobert Centre calls out to Falkirk artists and crafters

Stirling’s Macrobert Centre is looking for artists and crafty people to display their creations in its annual Handmade Exhibition.

The festive art and craft sale event – which takes place from December 1 to January 3 – has been running for five years now, but 2020 – of course – will be a little different.

A Macrobert spokesperson said: “Since 2015, we have hosted a sale of quality and affordable artworks and crafts throughout our busy festive season, offering our audiences the opportunity to purchase original Christmas gifts.

“As with most things in 2020, current restrictions mean changes for everyone and so we are harnessing an ambition and moving Handmade online. We would like to receive submissions from independent practitioners with original, high quality work to sell.

“Previous popular items have included, mosaics, jewellery, framed ceramics, framed prints, textiles, cards and decorations.”

The deadline for submissions is noon on Monday, November 9.
