Barry Sturrock spent six-and-a-half hours on a static bike in aid of Strathcarron Hospice as he pedalled his way towards his milestone target.
The £1380 the Laurieston resident has so far raised for the Fankerton-based service is almost triple the amount he set out to achieve.

Hide AdBarry (37) began his Spin 4 Strathcarron challenge yesterday morning and was supported all the way by wife Laura, son Rory (7) and Freya (5).
Explaining why he chose to fundraise for Strathcarron, the self-employed architect said: “These guys have taken a big hit, as have all these charities at this time.
“People are giving to the NHS which is great but places like hospices are losing out so every little helps.
“I love my bike and I’m a keen sportsman; I like cycling and swimming.

“I had the kids and my wife feeding me and keeping my water bottle topped up.
“A huge thanks to everyone who’s donated, it’s all very much appreciated.
“Hopefully I’ve inspired other people to do something similar.
