Mr MacDonald said: “This announcement is very welcome, and I know that many driving students and instructors will be relieved to see this saga come to an end. I am delighted that patience and persistence has paid off and the DVSA are committed to a continuing presence in Grangemouth, serving the whole of Falkirk district and beyond.
“We know that, throughout this pandemic, there has been concerns growing as to whether or not this would happen. I am pleased, however, that the work undertaken has now come to pass and we can get back to having tests being carried out locally.
“I am sure that my colleagues will also be pleased about the continuation of practical driving tests being a permanent feature locally from the 9 November too. All that is left to do now is to wish all students good luck for their test and look forward to seeing new drivers on the road again soon.”
