Current coronavirus restrictions may have curtailed Christmas preparations but Larbert Round Table’s annual Santa Sleigh will be hitting the streets from this weekend.

While the sleigh will be cruising majestically down the streets in the Larbert area over the coming weeks, there will be no collections of cash on those nights as COVID-19 restrictions prevent this.

Instead the Round Table has set up a Just Giving page to allow people to still make donations to the great causes the organisation supports. It has set a target of £10,000 for this year.

A Larbert Round Table spokesman said: “We are delighted to be able to bring our Santa float to a street near you – albeit with adaptions in line with government guidelines. It has been an incredibly tough year and we recognise there may be more in need this year than ever before.
