Youngsters at Carrongrange High School were delighted to welcome a very special visitor last week.

None other than Pudsey Bear dropped in to meet pupils and staff as part of the Children in Need fundraising day on Friday.

Carrongrange High School and Greggs in Bonnybridge have been working closely over the past few months on a number of projects.

Greggs ran a family fun day a few weekends ago and some of the senior pupils at the school volunteered and poured out the juices which will work towards their saltire award.

The school then approached Greggs and asked them if it would be possible to have a visit from the special bear on Children in Need day.

Greggs agreed and sent two staff along on Friday afternoon. Charlene Murray, the manager at Greggs Bonnybridge, had a verys special role as Pudsey visited 22 classes with hugs and high fives in all of them – and that was just from the staff.

A school spokesperson said: “The pupils had an amazing experience giving Pudsey massive hugs and letting out screams when he entered the room.

“All pupils had the most amazing day and the whole school would like to say a massive thanks to the Greggs team for making magical day with amazing memories that will live with the kids for a long time.”

Going by these photographs, Pudsey and the pupils had a great time.
