Here's who made the second round of The Falkirk Herald and Three Kings wedding contest
and live on Freeview channel 276
The first round of voting has now been completed and we’re left with eight couples all still in the running for an amazing prize. Thanks to the generosity of the Cattanach family who run The Three Kings, one lucky pair will win the wedding of their dreams. It includes everything any bride and groom would need to share their special day with 100 friends and family.Valued at £6500, the package includes cars and cake, photographs and piper, flowers and fizz, plus lots, lots more to make this an unforgettable occasion. There will also be a runners-up prize with the couple who come second able to have the same wedding package for £1000.The owners of The Three Kings are offering this fantastic prize to mark their 20th year of running the popular Shieldhill venue.Over the past two decades, couples from across Scotland and even some from overseas have chosen the Cattanach family to help them plan and organise their big day celebrations. Now they want to say a huge big thank you to everyone who has worked with them in the past, those who have had to put their wedding plans on hold this year, and all who will join them in the future to say “I do”.The family said all their couples “make our job worthwhile”.In March weddings were initially put on hold because of the coronavirus pandemic and even now only a small ceremony can take place with a handful of people and none of the usual celebrations. However, throughout 2020 the entire nation has been saying a huge thank you to all the NHS staff and carers who have done so much to look after us all at this difficult time. The Three Kings team is acknowledging all these efforts by opening up this competition to those employed in our health service or the care profession. We received hundreds of nominations and eventually selected a final ten.But sadly after the first round of voting we had to lose two couples with the lowest votes. Now the next round is underway.
