Santa will start hitting the streets of Grangemouth next week, but sadly he won’t be able to stop or dispatch his elf army to come collecting around the doors.

A Rotary Club of Grangemouth spokesman said: “Due to social distancing restrictions, we will not have our group of Elves saying hello to you on your doorstep this Christmas and we encourage everyone to give Santa a wave and not gather near the sleigh.

“The people of Grangemouth have always been so generous supporting Santa on his Christmas trip and every penny that you have donated in previous years has been given straight back to various charities and good causes around town.”
