Grangemouth park unveils designs for its new play area

A historic public park is moving with the times and will be giving youngsters an exciting look at things to come for its brand new play area later today.

Zetland Park Regeneration Project has confirmed it will reveal the much anticipated KOMPAN Scotland Ltd designs for the Grangemouth park’s Charlotte Dundas play facility from 7pm tonight.

The existing play area closes to youngsters on Monday, November 9 and will not reopen until Spring next year in order to complete the redevelopment.

Local youngsters came up with their own ideas and designs, on the play area which will be all inclusive with access for everyone thanks to wheelchair swings and roundabouts.

A Zetland Park Regeneration Project spokesperson said: “The delivery if our Charlotte Dundas inclusive play area has been made possible thanks to funding from Natial Lottery Heritage Fund Scotland, Falkirk Council, Play As One Scotland, Friends of Zetland Park and members of the local community.”
