Candied owner Amrit Dhillon announced he would be opening Candied shops in Grangemouth, Denny and Rumford.

He said: “To mark this special day we will be donating all the daily sales for all three Candied stores to Strathcarron Hospice. Our target is £4000, but we can only do that with your help.”

There will obviously be restrictions in place to ensure the safety of customers and staff and if there is queuing outside Amrit and the Candied crew ask people to please be respectful of each other’s space and those who require to use the pavement.

Amrit said: “We are certainly not encouraging people to break any lockdown regulations or advice. If you feel you are able to visit while on your daily exercise and are fit and well then we would be delighted to see you.

“Alternatively, stay home, be safe, protect the wonderful NHS and order a delivery. Deliveries will be busy so please bear with us. We will do our best to get orders out in a timely manner. We have never experienced anything like this before, your understanding and patience will be greatly appreciated.

“The situation we find ourselves in is a very fluid one and we will adapt and adjust as advice and guidance from the government instructs us to. Please continue to stay safe, be kind and we look forward to seeing and serving you all.”

Amrit has been a supporter of Strathcarron Hopsice for years and has been raising funds for them ever since his father Harry Dhillon sadly died there back in 2015.
