Grangemouth fundraiser raises over £1200 for Breast Cancer Now

A Grangemouth fundraiser has raised more than £1200 for Breast Cancer Now.

The fundraiser was hosted by Feelgood Centre, a low-impact gym on Dundas Street that helps residents rebuild agility and mobility after knee injuries or hip replacements, and supports people living with arthritis.

On Saturday, the fitness centre invited the local community along for a morning of tea, coffee, homemade cakes, games and a raffle, with all proceeds going to the charity Breast Cancer Now.

Around 50 people from the community joined the coffee and cake morning, raising a total of £1255 for charity.

Breast Cancer Now funds research and supports people affected by the disease. Events like the coffee morning help the charity continue its work across the country.

Gym owner and event organiser Suzy Campbell took over the business in April. She previously spent 13 years as a supervisor in a care home, supporting people living with dementia.

Suzy said: “I'm absolutely overwhelmed by the generosity and support shown by our members. What started as an idea to raise some money for Breast Cancer Now turned into such a wonderful day, with everyone coming together, donating, baking, buying raffle tickets and simply getting involved.”

She added: “To raise £1255 is an incredible achievement, and I couldn't be prouder of every single person who helped make it happen. It really showed what a fantastic community we have at the Feelgood Centre.”
