Grangemouth charity and hotel owner team up for burger treat

Parents and carers who are working hard home schooling their children will be able to enjoy a delicious burger meal free of charge.

Kersiebank Community Project (KCP), based in La Porte Precinct, Grangemouth has teamed up with Helix Hotel owner Nawaz Haq to provide the burger treats.

A post on the project’s Facebook page stated: “The generous Nawaz Haq, owner of Helix Hotel, has noticed we gave freebie lunches to kids and our Golden Oldies but none to our fantastic parents/guardians who are all doing a fabulous job homeschooling.

“So next week parents/guardians homeschooling get free Helix inside out burger, chicken burger or veggie burger.”

Mr Haq, who has appeared on the popular Channel Four television show Four In A Bed, allowed his Kerse Road hotel to be used as a temporary venue for KCP’s food bank last year.
