Another Grangemouth councillor, Robert Spears, was on duty as a member of the British Legion.

Provost Buchanan presented the Legion with a flag to mark the occasion, while three charities were presented with cheques for £500 each. Erskine, SSAFA and Combat Stress received donations, while other local charites will benefit when the final total is known.

Provost Buchanan also announced that this year’s Festival of Remembrance has been cancelled due to Covid-19.
