Mum Lauren (29), a secondary school teacher, said: “We’re not really sure where his love of all the cartoon characters came from. We think it was on a visit to his cousin when they played with the action figures but he has become obsessed with them.

“He says that Spiderman is his favourite but he loves them all and every day he will change into all the different costumes four or five times.

“When we heard about the characters coming through the streets we made a little sign for him to have and he was so excited.

“He absolutely loved it.”

Murray likes nothing better to watch his heroes in cartoons or play with his action figures with mum and dad, Marc (36), a manufacturing technician at Calachem in Grangemouth.

Pauline Rae from Central Superheroes said that they arranged the event to support all the children currently being home schooled and say a huge thank you to all the NHS workers.
