Forth Valley's latest jobs fair is a success for employers and job seekers

Job centres in Forth Valley teamed up with Central Scotland Islamic Centre to host a successful jobs fair for employers and job seekers earlier this month.

The event, which took place at the Stirling mosque on March 8, was attended by over 70 jobseekers and nine employers from across Forth Valley. Four people gained definite job starts and a further 18 are waiting to see if their applications were successful.

A DWP spokesperson said: “The focus as we move into Spring is to reach out to everyone looking to re-join the jobs market, no matter whether they’re single parents, young people, 50 Plus or have a health condition.”

In the Falkirk area job centres have been working with Proactive Recruitment to fill production operative roles and Hades Group, looking to fill shut down operative roles for Ineos.
