Newparks Farm within Muiravonside Country Park has opened its gates to visitors again.

Like other visitor attractions it had been forced to close in March when the Covid-19 outbreak began.

But this week it has started to welcome visitors back, although there are some restrictions and safety measures in place.

Members of the public are asked to follow the rules to help keep everyone safe:

- supervise children closely

- follow the one way system

- observe social distancing

- use the hand sanitiser provided at the start and end of your visit

- do not touch anything during the visit, especially the animals

- do not bring food into the farm – for humans or animals

The current opening times for the farm are 10.30am to 3pm daily with last entry at 2.30pm.

The barns and other buildings within the farm remain closed.

The toilets are currently closed to the public too.

Falkirk Community Trust, which looks after the country park and the farm, asks those eating at the nearby picnic area to bin their rubbish or take it home.

It is also advised that people bring hand sanitiser to use after touching shared equipment if visiting Muiravonside’s play park.
