Falkirk tower block has rats in the walls

According to some flat dwellers at Parkfoot Court, in Falkirk, the rat problem has been present since lockdown began at the start of the year because the bins had not been emptied.

One resident said: “In the last eight weeks the council have been getting rid of many a day and have claimed they are gone – yet residents on the ground and first floors say they can't sleep at night because the rats are climbing the pipes in between the walls."

A Falkirk Council spokesperson said: “Unfortunately there has been some vermin activity within Parkfoot Court. Over the last two months we have carried out a number of treatments and are now in a position to block up the access points which will be completed by next week.”
