Falkirk parents welcome New Year's Day baby

A Falkirk couple had a special start to the New Year when they welcomed their newborn baby into the world.

Proud parents Jade Burns and Billy McKnight from Carronshore met their baby girl who was one of the first babies born at Forth Valley Royal Hospital this morning.

Their daughter, who they have named Ivy, arrived safely at 6.18am, weighing 7lb 15oz.

It comes after a special delivery for a Larbert couple who celebrated the arrival of their newborn daughter on Christmas Day.
